Risk Governance Manager-AVP

The Risk Governance Manager-AVP will be part of the team managing the New and Amended Product approvals for the firm. This team is considered the gate keeper for any new or incremental change in business, products, services or transactions in the firm. Given the an increased portfolio of work the governance team is growing and will give new and current team members to be a key piece of the way Barclays conducts business. As part of a collaborative environment you will be given the opportunity to share strategies and ideas with other team members in order to reach the best outcome.

What will you be doing?

* Coordinate functional due diligence review across all functions, including Operations, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, Financial Crime, Tax, Risk and others as required;
* Identify potential breaches and assist in breach investigations in accordance with NAPA Standard Breach Management;
* Provide training to businesses on the completion of the front to end NAPA process, including the onboarding of proposals into the NPS System. Assist in the development of training materials on the NAPA governance framework;
* Assist in coordinating information in response to regulatory and audit requests;
* Ensure data quality in support of regular Management Information production;
* Assist in annual review of NAPA Delegated Approvers/Infrastructure Area Aide Memoires used to conduct due diligence review.
* Monitor conditions of approval/withdrawal status and escalate issues as necessary;
* Act as a relationship manager for the NAPA Team and manage multiple stakeholders in the process at various levels of seniority.

What we're looking for:

* Business or Finance related 4 year degree
* 3 years experience with banking products with specific experience relating to Investment, Corporate and Wealth Banking products and services
* 3 years experience in Investment Bank, Corporate Bank and/or Wealth business front-to-back process flows with evidence of engagement across a broad range of functions (including Operations, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Treasury, Tax and Risk)
* 3 years experience in change management / process improvement

Skills that will help you in the role:

* Proven career history within financial services
* Risk and control-oriented background
* New Products, Regulatory or Audit related experience
* Solid knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Business Objects and similar reporting tools
